Human-Centered Design

I’m a design leader seeking opportunities to deliver compelling, human-centered product and service experiences to customers and employees. I enjoy solving complex problems through cross-functional collaboration and thrive in discovery spaces.

The breadth of my career spans team leadership, product strategy, discovery —> delivery, and I’ve spend a good amount of time developing innovative business models and p0 product experiences and concepts. I have demonstrated success influencing product, service and design decisions based on customer insights.

The depth of my expertise is founded upon a lifelong passion for art and design. This foundation has enabled my design skills to evolve over the years to include brand development, illustration, digital product experiences, global digital brand guidelines, UX design, UX strategy as well as research and insights. Through all of these areas of design I have carried with me an entrepreneurial spirit and ambition to explore each opportunity to its full potential.

My career has spanned a range of team models and collaborations; small tech-led startup teams (Roofsmith.com, 89Glass.com) to a global digital organization (HSBC), an enterprise innovation teams (USAA) and a bricks/clicks entity with a mission and experiential offerings beyond retail (REI). Throughout all of these experiences the context of my role shifted, the problems may change, the complexity may vary; but the way to solve for customers within these spaces remains the same: #human-centered-design.

The ability to craft vision, balance organizational timing with persistence, lead teams through ambiguity, build strong relationships across an organization and a practiced ability to chase after poignant questions that shift conversations in favor of the customer, have served as the foundation of my life-long passion and career in human-centered design.
